ANTOR comprises some 48 member tourism bodies within Australia embracing both official government tourism offices or their designated marketing representatives. Members range from government-owned instrumentalities such as VisitBritain, China National Tourist Administration, Hong Kong Tourism Board and California Tourism to destination marketing companies appointed to promote destinations such as Hawaii and Las Vegas.

Domestically, Australia is represented by Tourism Australia and the tourist organisations of Canberra, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia as well as regional tourism bodies.

As tourism administrators, our reason for being is to promote and facilitate the growth of tourism from the Australian travel market to our respective destinations.

Our role embraces:

  • Assisting, training and nurturing of the Australian tour operators travel agency networks and industry related staff.
  • Stimulating consumer desire for a tourism experience via our respective annual consumer and trade marketing activities.

ANTOR's role is to be an additional vehicle through which all our members connect with the travel industry in an endeavour to support , grow and facilitate the information transfer process inherent in selling destinations in today’s environment.

Seminars & Functions

ANTOR hosts a regular series of seminars on industry issues. Recent seminars have covered items such as "How to Leverage the Media", "Tourism Recovery" and "Internet Marketing".

ANTOR works with major travel organisations, such as the Australian Federation of Travel Agents and the Council of Australian Tour Operators, to improve the level of knowledge of travel consultants. Promotion

ANTOR promotes both member and industry functions and events and maintains through this site, a calendar of events to ensure more effective planning of time and resources for both members and industry.

Collectively ANTOR represents an estimated annual Australian market investment of in excess of $40 million.
